History
Successful transfer of technology. In the 1970s, Kayser-Threde was responsible for on-board data acquisition from experiments flown on so-called ‘sounding rockets'. It was mandatory to prevent the prevailing extreme environmental conditions, especially during landing by parachute, from impairing the electronics assembly for measurement data acquisition and storage. This principle was successfully transferred to automotive crash tests applications.

In 1976 Kayser-Threde sold its first crash test measurement system. Since then a whole family of devices and systems has been developed. Kayser-Threde is well known for working closely together with customers; their requirements and suggestions inspire the continuous evolution and development of new versions. This along with the excellent quality and reliability of their products has made Kayser-Threde and now KT Automotive rise to become a world renowned dependable and successful company.
